ABOUT THE
NEW YORK/JERUSALEM DIALOGUE PROJECT
The New
York/Jerusalem
Dialogue Project’s Experts Exchange, a joint
project of the Jerusalem
Inter-Cultural Center and CAUSE-NY of the Jewish Community
Relations Council of New York, in May of 2007 convened an
international dialogue around the issue of Cultural Competency and
Health Care.
As a platform for this effort, the organizers have utilized and adapted
the technology of a series of web-based seminars (Webinars). The aim of
this effort, that has convened experts from the academic, health care
delivery and community-based sectors in Israel and New York , is to
enable an exchange of cutting edge expertise in the work of cultural
competency and health care that has developed in these two dynamic and
diverse societies. We likewise intend this exchange to be used as a
tool that will lead to the advancement of this field of endeavor and
the ability of societies to meet the opportunities presented by
diversity not only in Israel and the New York but internationally.
The
participants of these webinars likewise represent some of the best
minds dealing with this important issue in Israel, the United States
and Canada. The result of this ongoing and evolving effort has been the
creation of a virtual international network of experts and the
advancement of the work in both societies.
This site is contains the
presentations and materials utilized by the experts that have been
convened in this process. It will likewise provides an online forum for
comment and exchange of expertise. We encourage you to utilize the
